About Me

Angela Stanton
Hi & Welcome
A bit about me...
I'm a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and an accredited member of the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapist (BABCP) which is the lead organisation for CBT.
I have a BA(Hons) in Psychology and Social Policy and a Post graduate Degree in Alcohol and Drug Studies . I've worked within the mental health field for more than 15 years; working in the statutory, voluntary and private sectors across Inverclyde and Glasgow.
I've gained a vast range of experience working with clients who have wanted to work through their own or others mental health, substance use, mood disorders, eating issues and issues related to life adjustment and relational issues. I am determind to help people to reach their own journey in therapy no matter how hard that journey is for them. My motto is never let your thoughts define who you are. What you think about yourself is much more important than what others think of you, so please reach out and get in touch if i can help you.
A bit more about my acreditations...
When I qualified as a CBT psychotherapist, I wanted to provide the best service to my clients, to do this I furthered my training and I am now a fully Accredited member of The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies. (www.babcp.com). To be a member I adhere to their code of ethics and meet their standards of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
I receive clinical supervision from another experienced accredited CBT Psychotherapist to ensure that my practice remains at a high standard. Doing this on a monthly basis just reminds me how important and blessed I am that I am able to help people through their difficult time.
